Introduction to Box Builder

Giftship’s Box Builder allows customers to create a custom gift box through a guided, step-by-step experience.

Instead of choosing a pre-built gift box, customers can select the items, options, and details they want to include. This makes it easy to offer curated gift boxes for occasions like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, corporate gifting, cheese and wine boxes, and more.

You can create one Box Builder for your entire store, or create multiple Box Builders for different themes, holidays, or product categories.

Box Builder Steps

Each Box Builder is made up of steps. These steps control what customers see as they build their box.

Steps can be used to let customers choose products, select from a collection, choose an image option, or complete form fields such as a gift message, delivery date, or recipient details.

Giftship also supports a Gift Recipients step, which can be used when customers need to send gifts to multiple people at different addresses.

Box Sizes

Box sizes control how the box changes as customers add items.

You can create multiple box sizes and base them on either the total number of products or total product weight. You can also charge an additional fee for each box size.

For example, you could create:

Small Box
Medium Box
Large Box

As customers add more items to their box, Giftship automatically adjusts the box size based on your settings.
